The Turkoise Resort

Located on the island of Providenciales in the Turks and Caicos Islands, this beautiful resort is located directly on the famous Grace Bay beach. Awarded one of the top beaches in the Caribbean annually by prestigious travel publications such as Conde Nast Traveler and Travel and Leisure. Resort amenities include a seaside pool, beachfront massages, fitness center, an intensive watersports program, and a PADI Five-Star Golden Palm Dive Center.

In addition to having the resort exclusively to ourselves, we could not ask for a property with a better layout for our group's unique needs. While having many areas for guests to find their own space during the day, the common areas- restaurants, bars, pool, and open-air theater are all very centrally located in the Village Square. A large outdoor area where you can enjoy the ocean view while sipping and socializing. People naturally gravitate to this part of the resort in the late afternoon and evenings which is reminiscent of the social atmosphere aboard the ships on the past BHTM cruises.

As a Club Med resort, Turkoise typically is geared toward maximum guest enjoyment both day and night. However, as we will have exclusive run of the resort (BHTM T&C guests only) the activities, music, entertainment, and general pace of things will be set by us. Some "maximum enjoyment" our way! The Club Med "G.O.'s" or Gentile Organiziers will be our gracious hosts as always. They are throughout the resort day and night answering questions, assisting with activities, and helping us have a great vacation. This combination of Club Med hospitality along with BHTM atmosphere will make for a very special experience.

• Location- Providenciales or "Provo", Turks and Caicos Islands. South of the Bahama Islands, just a 75 minute flight from Miami.

Accommodations

The 284 bright and colorful rooms are conveniently located on either side of the resort's Village Square. None are more than a 3 minute walk to the beach or resort center. After recent renovation and upgrades these rooms will make a perfect base for an exciting week.

Club Rooms Include: One King or Two double beds, air conditioning, shower and vanity, separate bathroom, hairdryer, mini-fridge, flat screen TV, coffee machine, iron/ironing board, radio / CD player, telephone, large closet space, and personal safe.

Deluxe Rooms Include (in addition to the amenities found in the Club Rooms): Welcome gift, bathrobe and slippers, branded toiletries, turndown service, mini-fridge re-stocked every day with soft drinks, beach towels, priority housekeeping, located on the 1st and 2nd floors of buildings A and B near the communal areas of the resort.

Dining

• Grace Bay Restaurant- This very colorful restaurant invites you to share international dishes served in a buffet setting. Fresh and healthy fare include a large selection of fresh fruits, daily baked breads and pastries, made to order omelettes, salads, fresh vegetables, a good selection of fish and meats changing daily, specialty entrees, and delicious homemade deserts. Breakfast 7:00-10:30am, Lunch 12:30-2:30pm, Dinner 7:30-10:00pm.*subject to change.

• Restaurant Le Mer- At the end of the beach, with a magnificent view of the Ocean, this intimate ala carte restaurant offers a selection of grills in a warm, inviting atmosphere. Reservations may be required. 7:15-8:45pm. *subject to change.
  

• Sharkie's- On the edge of the white sand beach among the palm trees, this snack-bar welcomes you throughout the day and in the evening for appetizers and snacks including: chicken caesar melts, sandwiches, burgers, fries, and fresh fruit. Open 10:30am- 7:00pm and 10:30pm until 3:00am for those having too much fun. *subject to change.

Le Blue Reef Bar 

Located in the central village area and the resort's main bar. All of your beverage needs can be met here from 9am- 3am. The perfect gathering place day and night. Just steps from the main restaurant, pool, and theater.

Resort Watersports

• Kayaks, Hobie Cats, and Windsurfers are all included. Kitesurfing* is available at an additional charge. Turkoise is home to the Wind Academy* for specialized instruction in wind sports for beginer to advanced.

• Snorkeling- two trips daily aboard the resort's custom snorkeling boat included. A 10-15 minute ride takes us to some great reefs within the Princess Alexandra Marine Park. Turtles, rays, large grouper and an abundance of tropical fish 10-20 feet of depth.

• Scuba*- World class diving through the on-site PADI Five-Star Golden Palm dive center at additional coast. The Turks and Caicos Islands are surrounded by one of the most extensive coral reef systems worldwide (65 miles across and 200 miles long). As a result, the islands are consistently ranked as one of the premier diving locations in the world. Excellent visibility (up to 200 feet), pristine reefs, abundant tropical flora and fauna, fish and other marine life. A 22 mile-wide channel, the Columbus Passage, separates the Turks Islands from the Caicos Islands. This 8,000 foot deep passage serves as major transit lines for migrating, spotted eagle rays, manta rays, turtles and dolphins. Visit the Scuba FAQ page for more dive and rate info.

Resort Activities

• The Beach- a sweeping stretch of ivory-white, powder-soft sand stretching the entire length of the resort. Plenty of space for quiet privacy under one of the many shade providing palapas. The outlying reef provides calm waters and a smooth sandy entry for a refreshing swim. Lounges, towels, and additional umbrellas provided.

• Fitness Center- open 24 hrs.

• Various Group Fitness/Classes- pilates & stretch, cardio, core, sunset stretching, water aerobics.

• Tennis- 4 hard courts and 4 synthetic courts, training wall.

• Beach and Pool Volleyball.
